Conclusion
In conclusion, I was not surprised that less than 3 % of fraudulent transactions occurred in person. What surprised me was the amount of people who used the same stolen credit card at the same store. Nowadays we are on camera everywhere we go. My next question would be how long did the person get away with it? Unfortunately, this data set did not contain the information I needed to make that determination. However, due to the fact a large portion of the cards were used more than once, and the average distance was around 13 miles from the last purchase states they do not always get caught as quickly as one would think and a great deal of damage can be done before these criminals are caught.
